About BT STEM Crew

BT STEM Crew is a unique online resource for teachers of 11-16 year olds, brought to you by the 1851 Trust and Land Rover BAR. Produced and reviewed in collaboration with STEM teachers, BT STEM Crew resources are set against the backdrop of the exciting world of the America’s Cup, highlighting real-life applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Students will analyse high-performance nutrition, discover practical applications of mathematics and learn about state-of-the-art design materials. Our films, interactive activities and worksheets – featuring real data and information from the Land Rover BAR base – show young people how versatile and exciting the STEM subjects can be.

Coming Soon on BT STEM Crew

In the summer term, we asked our registered teachers what they thought of BT STEM Crew, and how it could be improved for classrooms across the UK.

The majority of the teachers we spoke to think the resources are high quality and useful, but they want more, so we’ll be expanding the current topics to include practical investigations. We’re also going to build on our Design & Technology offering with additional resources tailored to the new AQA and OCR GCSE specifications.

Registrants also told us that they want to hear more about what we’re doing in advance, so they can incorporate BT STEM Crew resources in to their planning. We will ensure we update our registered teachers more regularly with interesting and useful information, including teachers’ experience in the classroom.
